The name of our BBQ joint is a tribute to the late Jim "Pappy" Emerson. He was our brother, uncle, friend and mentor.
Pappy kept things simple. He loved the outdoors and he worked hard. When people came to visit, he tried always to provide an atmosphere for great food and good times. A perfect description of Pappy's Smokehouse today.

We make it fresh for you, slow smoking our meats up to 24 long hours over sweet apple or cherry wood.
Finish off your choice of smoked meat with a selection of three delicious BBQ sauces - Sweet Baby Jane, Original or HooDoo Sauce.

we sometimes close early when we sell out of all items; which is why our closing hour on Sunday is 4'ish and Monday-Saturday is 8'ish.
